Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.docx), OpenOffice, or RTF document file format.
  • The manuscript is written in English and follows the IMRAD structure (Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References).
  • The text uses Times New Roman font; 12-point size for the main text, 10-point size for footnotes; line spacing is 1.3 for the main text, and 1.0 for footnotes; first line indent is 0.8 cm.
  • Italics are used instead of underlining, except for URL addresses.
  • All figures, tables, and illustrations are inserted at appropriate places within the text, not at the end.
  • Where available, DOIs or URLs for references have been provided.
  • The references are formatted according to APA 7th Edition citation style.
  • The manuscript demonstrates at least 85% originality, excluding properly cited quotations and references.
  • Authors confirm that the manuscript will be screened for plagiarism before peer review using multiple detection systems (eTXT, Advego, Grammarly).
  • If AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly) have been used for editing or formatting support, this has been disclosed in the Acknowledgments section.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic, bibliographic, and ethical requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

There is no article processing charge (APC) or submission fee.

 

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in English.
  • Printed and electronic versions must be provided.
  • Authors must guarantee that the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and represents the final copyright version.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
  • Page size: A4; font: Times New Roman; font size: 12 for the main text, 10 for footnotes.
  • Line spacing: 1.3 for the main text, 1.0 for footnotes; first line indent: 0.8 cm.
  • Structure must conform to the IMRAD format:
    Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References.

 

ARTICLE LENGTH

  • Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words.

 

ARTICLE TITLE

  • Should outline the general scope of the article and not exceed 12 words.
  • Must be typed in uppercase (font size 12).

 

AUTHORS’ INFORMATION

  • Authors’ first and last names must be provided in uppercase letters.
  • Short CVs must accompany each submission.
  • Full postal addresses, affiliations, positions, academic degrees, emails, and phone numbers must be included for all authors.

 

ABSTRACT

  • The abstract must not exceed 200 words.
  • It must be informative and reflect the research purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  • Avoid repeating information already included in the title.
  • The abstract must present a clear perspective on the article’s message.

KEYWORDS

  • Up to 10 keywords separated by commas.

 

INTRODUCTION

  • Should clearly state the article’s contribution to the philosophy and methodology of science.
  • Should reflect the current research concerns and objectives.

 

CONCLUSION

  • Must be clearly formulated and summarize key findings.

 

REFERENCES

  • References must follow the APA citation style (7th Edition).
  • Non-Latin references must be transliterated and translated into English.
  • APA examples must be followed precisely for books, articles, book sections, and electronic resources.
  • For multiple works by the same author in the same year, alphabetical differentiation should be used (e.g., Hovhannisyan, 2006a; 2006b).

 

GRAPHS, DIAGRAMS, AND FIGURES

  • Non-alphabetic characters (e.g., logical formulas, diagrams) must be included as separate high-quality files.
  • Graphs and diagrams must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals.
  • Diagrams must be submitted in Excel or EPS formats; photos must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

 

SPECIAL MATERIAL FORMATTING

  • Archival Materials and Translations: Must include full bibliographic descriptions. A prologue and comments are required for publication eligibility.
  • Symposium Essays: Must provide details about the event organizers, place, date, and participants.
  • Reviews and Bibliographical Essays: Should be 5–10 pages (10,000–20,000 characters).
  • Argumentative Notes and Essays: Accepted in a free format but are not regarded as formal scientific publications.

PEER REVIEW POLICY

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
  • Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartiality.
  • Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent experts.
  • The editorial decision is based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
  • The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

 

PLAGIARISM CHECKING POLICY

  • The editorial board maintains zero tolerance toward plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts are screened through multiple plagiarism detection tools:
    • eTXT Antiplagiat
    • Advego Plagiatus
    • Grammarly Plagiarism Checker
  • A minimum originality level of 85% is required.
  • Manuscripts with more than 15% unreferenced similarity are subject to immediate rejection.
  • If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted following COPE guidelines.

 

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TOOLS POLICY

  • Authors must disclose the use of any AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) used in the preparation of their manuscripts.
  • AI tools may assist in language editing, grammar correction, and technical formatting only.
  • AI tools must not be used to generate original scientific content, data analysis, or research interpretations.
  • Disclosure of AI assistance must appear in the Acknowledgments section.
  • Authors retain full responsibility for the integrity, originality, and scientific content of their manuscripts.
  • AI tools cannot be credited as authors or co-authors.

 

FINAL REMARKS

  • By submitting their work, authors confirm that their manuscripts comply with the journal’s ethical standards, COPE principles, and international academic publishing norms.
  • Opinions expressed in the articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board.

Manuscript Processing Time

We are committed to a transparent and timely publication process. The average time for the preliminary assessment of a manuscript by our editorial team is approximately 25-30 days.

Following this, the peer-review process, where manuscripts are evaluated by expert reviewers, typically takes around 60 days.

The average time from an article's final acceptance to its publication is approximately 90 days.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1. Review Process: Personal information provided by authors and reviewers is used exclusively for the blind review process, ensuring the anonymity of both parties.

3.2. Communication: Reviewers may be contacted using the information provided during the registration process for communication related to the review process.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1. Confidentiality: The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process. Information related to the manuscript and review is disclosed only to relevant editorial staff.

4.2. Third-Party Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers for hosting, technical support, and other operational services. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use personal information for any purpose other than the provision of services to MIOPAP.

4.3. Legal Compliance: We may disclose personal information when required by law or in response to lawful requests.

5. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, particularly during the blind review process.

6. Your Rights

Authors and reviewers may have the right to access, correct, or inquire about their personal information in the context of the blind review process. Requests should be submitted to miopap@aspu.am
